Welcome To The South Somerset Peace Group
On the 4th Tuesday of every month we have an open meeting which is devoted to a particular subject, usually with a speaker or a video and always with a discussion. It is held at the Minster Rooms (across the entrance to the Minster Church) in Ilminster, at 7.30 pm, entry £3.- if you can afford it.
We have a Israel/Palestine subgroup, which supports Israel and Palestinian peace groups and educates themselves on this complex subject. For details please contact 01460 30228 or heronho@aol.com
On the Saturday before our monthly meeting we hold a Vigil from 11 till noon. The place varies, see our programme. The aim of the vigils is to express our sorrow about the suffering caused by war; to make sure that the victims are not forgotten; and to remind ourselves and others that we should do everything in our power to solve conflicts without resort to violence. Please join us if you like.
